We just sit by the fire with a blanket over our legs, drinking cocoa, watching re runs of The sound of Music! No chance! There's are clubs around that are not full of teenagers where people of a certain age go to listen to good music, have a dance maybe and a drink or six!. Were we live it's quite quiet and most people congregate in the local pubs where they sometimes have good bands and artists and of course there are plenty of good restaurants etc you can have a good meal in town. I'm not into the Gym, it would bore me rigid, not for me at all. Me and my other half still manage to find somewhere where there's a bit of life and have a good time, you can find places to go that are not full of teenagers but that are not full of boring old farts either. I'd rather spend an evening with youngsters than older people if all they do is moan and discuss their ailments. I think people who are older can have just as much fun as the teenagers, you might look older on the outside but you still feel young inside. Getting old doesn't mean you can't have fun, you just might ache a bit more in the morning. I hope I'll always find somewhere to enjoy myself, life's too short and there's certainly plenty of life in these old dogs yet!! Thank Gawd!!

If you come up with a good idea, let me know, I used to be a club sort when I was young and good-looking and had hair. Now I am none of those things, and the last time the wife and I were at a club, we thought it was boring and stupid. So we checked into a hotel and did things we don't discuss in polite company to each other. Hey, come to think of it, that's actually a way better idea than going to the club.
If not that, I sit up and play "Vice City" on the computer when everyone else is asleep.

First I ask myself why in the hell are teens in a pub drinking booze. More towards your question. We no longer go clubbing because we are married and have all the sex we want at home, no looking for it. We had kids and lost our desire to go out because we have to work to feed their bellies and afford the $300.00 a pair of the fancy sneakers they want. Not to mention the Nintendo and play Stations with dozens of games that run $30 - $50 each.

The gym is not for working out, it is a meat market for singles in their 30's+.

For entertainment we watch our kids and other peoples kids. We see the stupid things they do and remember back when we did the same stupid things and laugh.

I'm not 30 yet but am tired of the clubs and really never liked them but my friends always went. You can always kick it with friends at a bar or have small football parties or poker parties. The gym is cool to, you also can play a sport like softball you got, martial arts church, events in your town. There are lots of things. The clubs suck anyways its full of a bunch of attention whores and losers trying to get laid. You can't even have a conversation in a club or get a drink on time

We sit at home and grow mould between our toes.

Actually most people over 30 are too busy with things that are more interesting to us to spend a lot of time at clubs. What we do depends on the person. For example I spend most of my free time working on my art. I used to go out more but I got more focused in my 30's. Some people are busy with thier families.

I use to go clubbing every weekend. lol It is harder when you get older. I do have a family now and that is my biggest joy and priortity. But I'm in my 30s and have found a club that has older people that hang out at. But I still go to my favorite hangout (club) like 2x a year, I still can dance my a ss off. But there are plenty of things to do when you are older. You dont curl up into a ball and die. I like to ride my bike, motorcycles, go to car & bike shows, go to church, go swimming, camping....etc.. Go do things that make you happy. Just cause they are not the 'rush' of the Club doesnt make it less enjoyable. Go have fun.

As one 'ages' -
Doing the simple things in life seem to take longer . . .
by the time one is around 60?
Just getting up and ready to meet the day can take a couple of hours . . . whereas when one was around 30? Getting up and out the door took about 30 minutes . . . SO -
It all averages out, over the 24 hrs . . . No time available for clubbing, etc. . . just time for the basics. . .
Luvin' the 'later' life of leisure . . .!!!!

I'm 29. I used to go clubbing all the time, then I realised what a pointless waste of time and money it is.

Start to appreciate the finer things in life and have a good laugh at the idiotic things the youth get up to.

Persoanlly I mountain bike, snowboard, garden, cook, learn Japanese, travel, visit the theatre/ballet/cinema, eat out, go to gigs and read during my spare time; amongst other things.

First off, don't assume just because someone is 30+ that they aren't allowed to party anymore. I still go out to my favorite bars/pubs and I have parties with my friends every so often. I love going to shows and finding new rock bands to listen to. I never was a club kinda person though.
