I think that rather than capturing any more...they pick one cock and one hen to raise and then supply them to zoos.

Well, I would imagine most peacock farms are for raising the birds to be sold as pets. A lot of people really like having them on their property. Another use is for the feathers of the males, they are very decorative. Some people do eat them, they were a popular delicacy in India. I am not sure if anyone eats them anymore but I am sure they are eaten sometimes. Also, they are not endangered.

Peacocks are sold as pets and the prime peacocks are the new colors they're breeding such as white. Most people call them peacock farms but some farms are more general and sell all types of poultry which you can also find under the term hatcheries.

Just because they are well decorated chickens doesn't men we can't eat them.
They chop off their heads, sell the meat to the grocery stores, and the feathers to the decoration stores. Those fluffy peacock feathers used to decorate outfits aren't exactly donated by the bird at will ya know.
