You can sue for anything, but an attorney would be able to give more information on whether you would win. Without any legal expertise, I would think that you need to prove that the bone was caused by the McDonald's food and that it is McDonald's fault it got caught in your throat (which might be difficult).
Hope you have recovered from surgery and are feeling better. That sounds very painful. Good luck!

I think you can sue for anything. Even lost dry cleaning.
I worked at McDonalds and our store was sued because some guy bought a burger, went and pumped his gas, and then without washing his hands ate his burger and ended up with chemical burns in his mouth. In his case, I think it was his gas-pumping that caused the injury. He even admited to not washing his hands--gross.
Anyway, I don't know about legal stuff but I wonder how you could prove that the bone came from the sandwich and not something else you ate that day. Perhaps you could call one of those free injury lawyers who say, "you don't pay anything unless you win" and see what they say. Sometimes even when you think you have a case against someone, you can't find a lawyer who will take it.

You can sue anyone you want, but whether or not you will prevail is another matter. Get copies of your medical records related to this episode, and see an attorney who handles a lot of personal injury cases.

You can try. You would have to prove that the bone came from the sandwich you ate, and wasn't ingested later. It is possible that McDonald's would settle with you and pay your doctor/surgery bills.

OMG yea. . .and if you had witnesses, that would be way better. It's Mcdonalds responsibility to give you quality food. When we go in there and by their food, we are trusting in them not to kill us. . .LOL.. . .make sure to keep the name of that doctor as proof, and ask him if he will be a witness. Wow, sorry you had a bad day.

Yes and it would be a very good idea. Having bones that you could swallow in your food is dangerous .
