He sang with Lionel Hampton and Wes Montgomery throughout 1948-1953, but seems to be practically unheard of in the States. Supposedly he had a big following in France...I have two of his CD's, one here

I've also seen it spelled "Sonnie" on some Lionel Hampton records...

I have not heard of him until now, but thanks for sharing. He must have been a guy that never got much recognition.

I've never heard of Sonny Parker but I'll check with my mom to see if she might have heard of him and listened to him.
