I think that it is definatley a possibility, there is a lot of space out there and it seems like the odds are that there is. However there is no way we will ever know about it because space is so big even if another civilization existed (even if there were much more advanced) there would be no way to travel such distances. By Einstiens theory of relativity nothing could ever travel faster than the speed of light and even if you were traveling close to the speed of light everyone on your planet would be long gone when you got back so basically no matter how good the technology is traveling interstellar distances is impossible.

I think it is possible there is life on other planets. I hypothesize that since life arose here on Earth there is no reason it could not have arisen on some other world. The universe is very big, so perhaps more than one Earth-like planet exists.

On the other hand, no definitive evidence of life anywhere but Earth has been found, yet. So, we are unable to say that the idea that there is life elsewhere has been proven.

I do. If it could happen here, why not another planet. If we are the only life anywhere, it just wouldn't make any scientific sense. I think it is possible that we could be the only "life" as we know it, but who's to say whether there is or is not other forms of life out there that maybe we can't even perceive. ;)

Like so many others...Why should we think we are the only beings in the universe? Look at all the things, big & small, on this planet....come on people!!!! Anything & everything Is possible...even if you don't know it's there!!! I DO believe there are many other beings out there somewhere. Maybe we'll find 'em naybe not...but I think there's more there that we will EVER know!!

Believe...Hell.... I know.......the human arrogance in thinking that we are smarter than cave men is out of human EGO. To other live forms we could be very well be the caveman. I know of at least 12 universes out there. And billions upon billions of planets. With those numbers it would be hard to believe that this planet was the only one that produced intelligent beings.

I know there is. But for those who would like a little help believing (not proof, of course) watch the following video. Feel free to check my other posts to be sure I'm not trolling you and giving you a bad link. I love this video. I kept the link because it touches my dreams for mankind.

Oh, there is one part that's a little silly, don't worry, it's short and makes it's point. The video is beautiful and relatively short.

Pass it on. Hard to tell whether it supports the idea of God or the opposite!

Yes, cause the universe is a big place we cant be the only ones. Something else must be out there even if with never find out what it is.
