I've thought for a long time that that would be a good idea. Fanatics don't fear death, but the idea of being cut off from their God does scare tnem.
Fear breaks an enemy faster than death. No matter how politically incorrect that is.

We need to get away from the "devil through humans" crap if we want a solution. That theory didnt hold with conservatives saying that about rock'n'roll fifty years ago and its not holding now. They are not going to fear anything so we shouldnt be in Iraq in the first place.

We can't do that per military guidelines, specifically the Geneva convention. They fear dogs too, and subjecting them to one is against war conventions as well.
