Folks the hottest year on record was 1998 - that's been nine years. How long before we can call it global warmth, rather than global warming?

I still don't think you righties have an understanding of Global Warming. You're so afraid to admit that you are wrong about something that you'll argue to the death only to find out that you were wrong anyways.
Your question is stupid.
It is not GWB's fault that the Earth is inundated with Greenhouse Gasses. It is his fault that up untill recently he denied the science behind Global Warming and Global Climate Change. Large amounts of greenhouse gasses let loose by humans have been released since the Industrial Revolution.
So.. It doesn't matter who the president was at the time..
It only matters that the science is clear and the government is failing to act.
try looking up greenhouse gases in wikipedia.. then get back to me..

ACTUALLY, I get my Global Warming answers from research, both academic and leisure.. Seeing how I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from a state university. I definatly dont get my info from wikipedia but there is some solid information on the site and it IS peer reviewed. A lot more reliable than anything you would find here!
To the original asker of this question.. Your logic is flawed if you want to call it global warmth.. we should just assume that the Earth is SUPPOSED to be it's hottest ever just because it happened recently? We should just through out the fossil record and ASSUME that GOD wants it to be this hot? Nevermind that the Earth has been around for how ever many aeons and just NOW it is reaching record heat. We're supposed to just ignore it.. Call it Global Warmth? No no.. My liberal friends and I dissagree with that logic..

I believe it was the year 0. We had no trees, no oceans, no humans. It was just a big HOT rock with lava flowing everywhere. Our ancestors in the single cell state, were warned of impending disaster of global cooling and failed to react, and soon they were paramecium covered in an Ice Age. They then complained about the impending doom of global warming and were transformed into worms. Again, the alarmist screamed, " Ice Age II", and well you know what happened then, the whole ape thing. So I am not saying a word about Global warming now, I might end up worse than an ape, maybe a democrat.

Well, Shab gets his global warming answers from Wikipedia...can't argue with that. LOL
So many different variables add up to create our climate. I highly doubt anyone will ever be able to accurately predict climate. People make jokes about how weather forecasters get paid to be wrong 75% of the time, yet believe without a doubt climate predicitons for the next hundreds of years.
EDIT - Oh yeah, I forgot. Everytime you exhale, you are emitting CO2 gasses. You should probably stop breathing if you really want to help.

Sorry but the science is NOT CLEAR! Check the latest issue of Discover Magazine. One of the BEST climate experts says flat out that anyone who believes any of the current climate models is a moron because the Atmosphere is to complicated to predict.
I hate this issue because even when it turns out that climate change was not the end of the world , the enviros. won't apologize or even take credit for being wrong!
