They use radio waves to communicate with Earth.

Radio waves travel through the vacuum of space perfectly well (in fact, even better than on the ground, since there are less obstacles to impede the signal).

Radio works best, even though there is a bit of a lag since radio waves only travel 186,000 miles per second. The only problem is you must have direct line of sight from your position on the Moon to the Earth, otherwise the signal won't make it.

By two way radio, just like when people talk to each other by walkie-talkies.

The only difference is the design of the antennas. They are very "directional" and focus most of the power of transmission and receiving at the intended target area.

They have really big voices. They yell from the moon so that the people on earth can hear them. (just kidding)

They pick up the phone, dial 1234567890, and they talk.

Actually they use radios.
