Okay yesterday at night me and my mom were watching this show called Cristina and the show was about gay people coming out to their parents and this one lady on the show said I dont care if my son is gay as long as he isn't a murderer or something else and then my mom said i would never want a child that is a murderer and then she said i woulf rather have a gay child than a murderer and I was thinking that i should tell my mom that i like GIRLS because she really doesnt discriminate gay people lol and she kept looking at me while we were watching the show but do u think i should come out to her because im not ready yet ?

It would probably be best to wait a little while until you're more comfortable with your sexuality. Some parents can be tolerant of GLBT people until it hits that close to home. Also, try to get a read on her. Did she want to watch that show? with you? what was the look on her face when she kept looking at you while watching it? Sometimes parents know before the kid even comes out. She may have been trying to get you to come out.

I don't think that you should if you are not ready to tell her. It sounds like she already has a clue though, that may be why she was looking over at you during the show. You would be surprised how well parents know their children. Your mom sounds like a nice person. I wouldn't be afraid to tell her, but it has to be on your own time. Good luck!

She may already know, but when ever you are ready is the right time to tell her. She probably made the comment to let you know that she loves you and doesn't want you to be afraid to tell her. But hey, you know your mom better than I do, when you're ready, you'll be ready. Take care.

"I'm not ready yet." Just know when you're ready, you've got one more person on your side. She clearly said she wouldn't mind having a gay child, so that's really good for you. Wait, and be happy that she's on your side-- she just doesn't know yet.

If your not ready then dont say nothing. I say the show and let me tell you i wouldnt want my child to go thru nothing like that. I would prefer to know asap...... if she is asking you then she s just waiting for you to say! good luck mama

You dont have to rush, take it slowly, tell her when you are ready and when you think she is ready, now you know that she deosn't descrimnate against lesbian then that is great! Lol just wait until you are compltely ready and tell her, or you can risk and tell ehr now btu i wouldn't if i'm nto ready. Good Luck

You should come out when you are ready. Your mom may or not know, but you should do this when YOU feel comfortable with it.
