At present Kumar Sangakkara is playing a better game than Saurav Ganguly. Also he reached the 900 points mark in test cricket for batsmen during the last series against Bangladesh. Only 21 other batsmen has done it since test cricket started in 1877. Out of the present Indian batsmen only Tendulkar has come close to that mark with 897 points during the NZ series in 2002.
Kumar Sangakkara at present is one of the best players around if not the best (he may have to share it though).

Sangakkara is a better player than Ganguly. But there are lot of class players in the world.

Well ur question is that who is the class player & not that who is the better player. So current form does not matter at all. If u ask Sir Geoffrey Boycott he will say Prince of Calcutta i.e, Saurav Ganguly & that's absolutly true. Sangakara is also classy but Ganguly has more class for sure

Between both of them, presently Sangakkara is the betterplayer.However,there are many other players better
than him.
