Yes. You want to switch it every season. In the winter it pushes air up to circulate air without giving too much of a breeze.

The answer is yes.

However among people who have fans plus AC there is a difference of opinion as to whether to blow up or down. You can blow the cool A/C air up to circulate it throughout a room or you can blow the hot air down so that it mixes with the cold A/C air and moderates it. Try both ways and see which feels better to you.

I have heard that they should. I have mine going clockwise for summer and counter clockwise for winter.

Yes When you want the hot air to come down you make the fan go one way and when you want the hot air to got up you change it direction remember HOT AIR RISES
