As for my taste - Bruce. Definitely.
As far as career or who "deserves" more notariety...look more behind the scenes. You'll see that aside from his own albums and awards, that Bruce is MUCH more utilized as producer, songwriter, guitarist, background vocals, etc.
Billy Joel is a fabulous artist. But I bet even he'd agree he's no Springsteen.

Bruce may be "the boss", but I'll take BILLY JOEL!!! I LOVE that piano man's music!!! (Not to mention, he doesn't have that annoying scratchy voice!)
