If your house has a basement, I'll bet you it's close to 70 down there! Or you could get a whole-house fan for less than an air conditioner would be. (Less expensive would be to be running whatever fans you have, but a whole-house fan sucks all the air out through the attic, and gives a nice breeze.)
Keep the sun out using shades or whatever. Also, spritzing yourself with water will make you feel cooler.
Otherwise, you can make sure you're not IN the house when it's 95 outside.

get some fans...we had our unit break on us a while back when it was real hott outside so we got 2 standup fans and we put one in the bedroom and one in the living room. It cooled us down alot. But then we got a little window unit for the bedroom a day later. That really helped but remember to block off the other rooms you dont use, like take a blanket and nail it by the ceiling or close the door and put a blanket at the bottom. IT helps soo much! i hope you get cooled off soon!!!! Go get a snowball for some imediate cooling off! hehehe!

Remember to keep all the shades closed over the windows. If the house cools overnight, make sure the shades are drawn before the sun rises. The house will stay cooler for longer during the day.

I keep my underwear in the freezer. When it's time to put on a pair, I grab them from the freezer and put them on. Yowza!!!
