George H. Bush was ridiculed for not fighting in Baghdad after Desert Storm. The liberals were criticizing him for Desert Storm, and so he was pressured into withdrawing troops. If George W. Bush would not have gone into war after 9/11 and gotten rid of Saddam, the liberals would have criticized him viciously, and we probably would be fighting the war on American soil. If we retreat now, and we are attacked here, the liberals will blame GW. There is no pleasing liberals. They are too childish to see things rationally. I'm very proud of our president for not caving in to the pressure from the "polls" and Congress. He knows that anytime there is war there will be criticism, yet he also knows that his first duty is to protect the American people. God bless him.

Who will care about the carnage in Iraq? That is Iraq. Of course there is no carnage there now is there? Not a bit of it since 2003. But I don't care because the carnage is not here but there. They have problems and always have. The people of that part of the world have been handling their problems by themselves for over 3000 years. I think they are still capable.

Of course the democrats will blame the president, but the resultant carnage will lay at the door of the congress.

Both, but the carnage that follows should rightfully be put on the Iraqis themselves--if the troublemakers would get out of the Middle Ages and stop thinking like radicalized barbarians then the poor country could start to rebuild itself.

I will blame the socialists in congress and AMerica. You can add the death toll to the 118 million others who died at the hands of socialist governments.
Any know what, I could care less what the socialists think.

The congress and specifically the democrat congress. They don't have the backing to pull us out and their latest show of an all nighter is just that, a show. Apparently they think their base will think they are doing something. Just more show and no substance. Business as usual for this congress.

Why on earth would the left take the blame for anything Iraq related?
There will be carnage (there is carnage). This is true, and nothing can be done about it (staying or going) Bush made that bed, and he can live with it.
I will not mortgage my kids future on trying to save face for Bush

Whats hilarious is that they the media have already made statements to the effect of any failure in Iraq would go squarely on the shoulders of the Bush administration and nobody else.
They would simply say "see we shouldve left Saddam in there, he was a great tyrant/murderer that kept everyone in line and keeping them from death." (except he killed people)

dont u think instead of pulling out of iraq, we just go ahead and offer their people to join us and be part of the United States! i know it sounds whack but what the hell we have tons of $$$$ invested there and the iraqis will just go on and on killing eachother......so atleast if we own Iraq... we can protect our territory the right way
