ok so america is also called USA well the US now

USA stands for

United states of america

but wheres the of

shouldnt it be USOA

Normally, words such as "the" and "of" are left out of initials. For example, Winnie the Pooh's initials would be W.P., not W.T.P.

When you do an abbreviation you always omit the little connecting words as not being part of the main theme.
