I really don't think that many people who have followed his administration hate Mr. Bush. There are a few uninformed zealots who rant on about anything and everything and label people "liberals" and "conservatives" and shake their fists in the air but nobody takes them seriously.
President Bush came into office in troubled times and he did the best that he could, considering the circumstances. His administration didn't really give him much support as it seems they all had their own personal agendas. Maybe he just wasn't the man for the job at that particular time.

Wow, I can see the propaganda has worked on you, child.
I don't even know where to begin on this. Bush doing his job? Before September 11th he took more vacation time than any President in American history--I think he spent about half his time on vacation. And Iraq? We put troops in Iraq in the first place because Bush wanted them there for his own purposes. None of us really know the truth of why, although we've been fed the lies of "Saddam is a major/growing/imminent threat against the United States", "Iraq has direct ties to 9-11", and so on, ad nauseum. Hello, clue phone, it's for you!! Saddam Hussein was no "imminent threat" to us--EVER. His best missiles coundn't go beyond the range of Israel, which is less than 500 miles away, much less reach our shores thousands of miles away! We still have not found these major caches of Saddam's weapons of mass destruction--NOT A SINGLE ONE--in the years now that we have been there. And Al Qieda was NEVER a presence in Iraq UNTIL AFTER WE INVADED!!!!
First rule of a free society: NEVER IMPLICITLY TRUST YOUR GOVERNMENT.
Please, Vampire Hunter, educate yourself. Open your eyes--this man's doing a job but it's not for the United States of America... he's doing a job ON the United States of America. His own party, the party of fiscal conservatism (spending government money in a frugal and responsible way) has been struggling with the way he spends money. Fiscally he should be a totally left wing Democrat. He invaded a country and he didn't even know his enemy, much less arrange for the people on the ground to get cultural awareness training so they could get to know their enemy. He refuses to listen to even the people who voted for him now. So how is he "doing his job"?
One more thing. People don't join the military just because they are so gung-ho to serve the country, although it'd be stupid to join if you didn't love your country and feel the call of duty to serve it in that way. But the truth is, many people join also to get away from bad influences and environments, or to get college money, or because it looks like the only way they'll avoid working in the factory like their dads and their dads' dads. Bottom line, nothing is as simple as you seem to think by the wording of your question here and you really should do some homework on Bush.

Maybe people hate Bush because his policies are actually creating more terrorists. Al Queda barely even existed in Iraq before we got there. Now it is recruiting more volunteers every day.
Or maybe people hate Bush because he thinks he is above the law, and does not have to listen to anyone who does not agree with him.
Or maybe people hate him because he is so stubborn and inflexible.
Or maybe people hate Bush because his policies only asked the poor to make sacrifices, while giving huge tax breaks to the rich, at the same time as he was drastically increasing government spending.
Or maybe people hate Bush because he is so incompetent and indifferent. His response to Hurricane Katrina proved that he does not know what he is doing and does not care. He put incompetent people in charge of the disaster relief agencies to reward personal favors, and he never got involved enough to put together a plan to solve problems.
And if being misguided, imperialistic, self-righteous, immoral and incompetent is not enough for you, then you should at least try to understand how it is more than enough for the rest of us.

The group conscience is rarely wrong. You can fool some of the people all the time, or some of the people all the time...but you cant fool all of the people all the time.
A great man doing great humanitarian things is usually spotted and recognized by the group conscience....and a bad man doing evil things is sniffed out as well by the group conscience.
The 28% approval rating should be enough said...but unless you are one of the 28th percentilers...which apparently you are.
I really feel sorry for you as a human being for not realizing that Bush is an evil man. I personally feel that he is a delusional psychopath in addition to being an economic and military traitor to his fellow americans.

I hate him because he turned the goodwill that the world felt for us after 9/11 and in 5 short years turned us into one of the most hated countries in the world.
He is also an idiot and a fool.

most folks really do not hate bush -- they just strongly dislike him and his crew for some of the super dumb mistakes that they have made over the past 6 years -- unless he really does something just short of a miracle he will go down in history as the worst president and that will be a record i am sure he does not want to face. his library will have fewer books than mine.

The man is a disgrace and has harmed our country in ways most people don't even understand and the effects will be felt for many years after he is gone. In fact his voodoo presidency is rigged that the worst will come once he is gone.
