What options do I have in raising money for a competition I am qualified to go to for my sport?

I got offered the chance to go to the other side of the country to compete at the world championships of powerlifting in WABDL. I dont have the money to go completely and was wondering if anyone knows the best way for me to raise the money.

Depends on the amount you need to raise and how fast.

Couple of basic options:

1. Hit the parents up.
2. Get a job or a second job.
3. See if your church will allow you a get "BOB" to "California" spag. diner and take donations at the door or charge admission. (Spag diners have low up front cost so you can pull down some good bucks. Get someone to donate the food and you will get even more money.)
