It sounds like the same thing my son has and it started around the same time. At first it was just a few and now it's all over his face, neck and a little on his shoulders. My son has "baby acne" or milia and as many mentioned it is very common in babies ours age. It can last a week to a couple of months but typically there is no treatment for it except as others have said to keep his face clean with warm water. I was also advised by the pediatrician that if it got gry to use a little acuaphor.

From my reading it is thought to be caused by your hormones the baby acquired in utero or from your breast milk. Symptoms will usually disappear when the hormones are eventually cleansed from the baby’s system.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

My son had baby acne at the same time as your baby. It looked really bad. I got so frustrated when people in public would say, "what's that on your baby's face?" It's totally normal because it's just your baby's hormones going crazy. My son had the acne for about a month and then it cleared up on its own. Now you would never know he had it. My doctor gave me something for it, but I have forgotten what it was. It helped a little. Just ask your pediatrician for some kind of cream. He/she will totally know what to give you because it's very common. Remember though that it does clear up on its own also.

my son did the same thing at 6 weeks..and it was from his shoulders up to the top of his head..and i thought it was a rash and i called his pediatrician and he told me its the baby acne..and there really is nothing you can do he said it will go away on its own..but do take nice cool cloths and wipe the areas down to keep it clean..once i did that my sons only last for about 3 days..good luck and congrats..

no i dont think its acne.maybe heat rash or something but not acne.it can also be from being kissed.i have 5 kids and they all got this .doc told me it was from maybe being kissed.babys skin is super sensitive so try not to kiss so much.also its summer so it can also be heat rash.if it is either of the two,it should go away on its own within a few days after the kissing has stopped.if you dont see a positive change,i would definatly have baby checked out by a doc.good luck and gongrats on your baby!

one of my kids had that, it lasted maybe about a week! his was just on the left side of his face!
Just be sure to not mess with it! Dont want to have any scars,
a lot of babies get it! Best thing to do really is ask ur doc! Ur doc would possibley give ur son some kind of ointment for ya to help clear it up! Just keep his face clean until u can get him seen!

best of luck to ya
congrats on the little guy!

A lot of babies get baby acne:) Their skin is so sensitive, I do not suggest putting anything on it.
You are not even supposed to put johnson's baby lotion on their face. Just soothe in the bath with a warm washcloth. Baby acne is normal- if it gets to be out of control, I would consult the baby's pediatrician.

It is normal. Best thing to do is keep oils and lotions off of those affected areas and wash with a mild soap. They will eventually go away. But if you are really concerned about it, see your pediatrician for advice.
