Whenever any Secret Hearing, such as the Spanish Inquasition or "family court", can deal out the harshest possible sentances in a vaccume, and then forbid reporting about said "case" or not on each case according to propaganda value for the court, there is bound to be bribe solicitation and punishments delt for those who will not bribe that court, and said court will vent it's prejudices against those whomever who bother it. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So, doesn't the utter lack of checks and ballances in family court, combined with absolute ontrol over all aspects of the economy and the people put the hairs on anyone's neck on end?

The unfortunate reality is that men face an uphill battle when going through divorce court and custody hearings. I have literally seen drug addict mothers win custody over business owning well respected community member fathers. When the father works a lot to provide the woman wins custody because he isnt around a lot. When a man makes a small income but has time to be home with his kids, the woman wins because he should be out working to earn for the kids. Good fathers have been dragged through hell by mothers that refuse to let them see their kids even if ordered by the courts. Some crack and for their salvation break all ties as the pain is too great. True there are some real deadbeats but there are deadbeat moms too and you will see more if men start getting a fair shake in court and get custody more often. And no I am not a jilted dad, I have custody of my son because I paid my ex tens of thousands of dollars to keep he from contesting plus she wanted to live the old life of partying and having a kid around hinders that. Mothers use their kids to avenge their ex husbands a lot more than the reverse and they should be ashamed.

bottom line.. IF you are a dead beat dad.. you deserve anything that is dealt to you.. If you have a child it's your responsibility to care for them regardless of the situation you are in.. NO REASON what so ever is not a good reason to not support your child!!!! So yes the courts may be a little harsh but deservingly so!

sounds to me as if you are searching for a backing not to be responsible.. PAY your responsibilities PERIOD and stop looking for a reason to avoid them!

and what the heck are you talking about "checks and balances"??? did you ever hear of an appeal? Just pay for your responsibilities and stop worrying about where the money for your next beer is coming from!

The same goes for dead beat moms.. which there are plenty of those.. I raised my boys alone with no help from the dead beat leg spreading piece of flesh that birthed my two boys. You know the type.. The "Holiday" Mom that only wants visitation on the holidays so she can justify her actions by her sad attempt to play mom to her worthless family who by the way did the same as her.. The acorn didn't fall far ..

Not much, no.

I was a widow raising two children alone and my finances were 100 times more stable than any divorced woman I knew. Social Security could always find us for their survivors' benefits.

Without deadbeat dad laws, it would be best for the financial wellbeing of the children if divorced women murdered their husbands. Child support eventually ends, but dead is dead forever.

So, what you are saying is that the children should suffer because men don't think they should help pay for raising the children they father? If a man helps create a life, he should be man enough to help raise that life. If you didn't want the responsibility of raising a child, you should have kept your little weenie in your pants!

Personally, I would prefer to protect the children rather than worry about a few men who have decided to father children and then walk away from them. You talk about all these things as if they are givens, yet offer no examples whatsoever. Pay your bills and meet your obligations.

You make many baseless accusations yet supply NO proof. Perhaps you were burned?
