The whitish stuff is normal discharge. Most girls get it for AT LEAST a year before they get their period. Why are you in such a hurry to get it? It's a pain. You'll get it when your body is ready (some girls don't get it until they are 16) and there is nothing you can to make it come sooner.

12 is the average age that menstruation begins. That means that some women start sooner and some start later. There is no real way to know when you will have your first period.
If you train athletically and have very low body fat, you could delay the onset of your first period.
Don't stress over it. It will come when it comes. And the fewer years you spend producing higher amounts of estrogen, the lower your chances of developing certain cancers.
For some people, periods are very uncomfortable. Others hardly notice. Look to all your female relatives for a clue about what to expect from yours.

Your period will probably come within 6 months, give or take a few months.
And you won't get it over with until you're about 50. Lol. Believe me, you don't want to get it until the last possible moment. Because it sucks the first couple of times, and it may even suck longer than that, depending on how bad your cramps are and how heavy it is.
If you have little to no cramps and it's a light period, consider yourself lucky!

Discharge is normal, that's the yellowish stuff. I didn't get mine until I was 13 and my mom's waited until she was 18. It varies from girl to girl. Be thankful right now that you don't have to worry about leaking or something. Since you are 12 though, make sure you have something just in case you start at school or a party or something. Always be prepared until you hit menopause.

hey..
first of all relax.
it sounds like your period is soon to come
because you usually get the white stuff called vaginal discharge in your panties.
but be care full if the discharge is yellow and smells it could be an infection!
and don't wry when u get Urey period
I'm 14 and just got it for the 1st time 5 days ago!
and i can tell u i regret say in that i wanted it to come.
for me i get cramps but they're not terrible kinds
but they can get annoying.
and just don't worry and be prepared
like have a pad with you in a the pocket of your purse.
it's allot better than finding out you have it!
and then realizing you don't have a pad.
and when you get it..
congrats! you're a woman!
i hope that helped =) and good luck..

well normally you get it when your mom gets it. everyone gets it at different times....you could have huge boobs and be 15 and you may not get it for another year.... and you DON'T want to get it over with because then you will get it every month and trust me, you should be enjoying the time you don't have it and a period just looks like red gooey blood basically...
