Oh, this is bad. Embarrassingly bad. I was only 15 and it was my first job,working at the library. I called them and said that I was throwing up blood and needed to stay home because something was seriously wrong with me. Well, my boss ended up calling my mother telling her that she needed to take me to the hospital! Of course my mother told her, "No she's not, She's fine!" Lord, that was about the dumbest excuse I think ANYONE could have come up with! I got in major trouble over that one. I was young, though. I was actually very shy then and hated going to work!

I told the boss my mum n dad had both caught flu!!! I got a whole weeks paid time off to care for them. When in fact they had invited to me to their villa in spain.
Luckily it was a hot summer in britain so got away with having a tan when I came back.
Had a weeks paid hols n nobody found out lol

Ty, My dear I have never done that, that I recall. My Dad was paralyzed so I always saw the pain in his eyes from being unable to work ! So for me work was an honer.
