That is definitely normal. Sounds like a perfect size. Also, if anything seems to be wrong with the weight, the pediatrician will always let you know. Or, you could ask them if they don't tell you right away. We mothers tend to worry alot about our babies health and well-being, and that's a very good thing! It just shows a sign of a wonderful mommy! :o) But, her weight gain sounds good. If by the next doctor visit you are still questioning, just ask your pediatrician and she can help you out. I kept my baby on a wonderful schedule feeding her every 2½ to 3 hours. The schedule really helped me out alot. I knew she was getting her food and that she was getting enough. If you have any questions on scheduling, just ask me. My little girl is 13 months now and i still have her on a really good schedule and it's just amazing! :o)

Sounds great! It's normal for babies to lose about 10% of their birthweight in the days following birth, and by the time they're two weeks old they should have regained that weight. Sounds like she's done that and then some.
Congratulations on your new babe!

As long as she is steadily gaining weight, you have nothing to worry about. Don't let anyone tell you what your daughter SHOULD weigh... My daughter is 8 months old and only weighs 14 pounds. A lot of people tell me she is too skinny, etc. but she is perfectly healthy -- just very petite.

Your baby sounds like she is fine to me. Babies can have a tendency to lose about 10% of their birth weight in the first few days of life... she is gaining and that is what matters. Sounds like you are doing a fine job to me.

That is very good! Babies should regain their birth weight by the time they are 2 weeks old. She is doing great. Keep doing whatever you have been doing.

I think it is normal. Newborns even tend to lose a little weight when they go home, so she may have gained more than you realize.

Sounds right to me. All babies gain at different rates. As long as she is gaining, do not worry. My DS was 3 weeks when he finally was back at his birthweight.

her doctor has a chart that shows their growth rate, it should have been showed to your mother when she took your doctor to the doctor. that was something my youngest son's doctor showed me everytime we went in.
