why continue?
Beside the fact that the public hates the war, and the Democrates, plus even some of the Republicans are starting to doubt some of Bush's plans. We want the Dems. to impeach the President, but unless he does somthing unconstitonal, that is unlawful, or imoral we can't.
he had lied to the public about the reasons for going to Iraq and had passed the law for no gay rights, which in my opinion is unconstational, and he had set up a program that gave the gov. the power to spy on the American ppl. i mean thats ok right?

also you know Libbey, the spy.
remember that some one in power had told the press that she was a spy.
the trial had taken place and the guy had to spend only 2 months or something like that, and Bush thought it was to harsh to give him that much time in jail.
wtf?

I don't think Bush is worried about his political career. He has had a what me worry attitude his whole life.
Often one cannot see the forest for the trees when so close to the forest. Even when new eyes see the forest and tell him it is there he finds it hard to fathom. So, no I don't believe he will get the message. He is too stubborn. That stubbornness coupled with other things the decider has decided on will give George W. Bush a legacy of being one of the worst if not THE worst president the US has ever had.

1) Some politicians don't do things because they are popular. Some people just don't get that.
2) Doubting is American. We have the gas, we need brakes as well. That's why we have free speech. That's why I'm not a political bigot.
3) Even the most vocal democratic representatives no longer say he "lied" about the war. They got bit too often by things said by democrats long before President Bush was in office. You're keeping that embarrassing "lie" about President Bush alive, undermining the democrats (my party). Don't do that. Misled is fine.
4) Exaggerating the issue to "no gay rights" makes it sound like you have no conception of what the issue was about. Your opinion about what is constitutional is not an issue. The court's opinion is.
5) Gay marriage will result in three things:
A) dissolving all benefits for married partners to avoid the sudden increase in burden to businesses.
B) the forcing of government of businesses to keep their benefits open thus driving the prices way up.
C) the forcing of government of businesses to keep their benefits open and not raise prices thus driving businesses out of business or out of state/country.
Gay marriage is something I agree with; SLOWLY! Find the balance. President Bush has shown he has the same attitude in the way he handled it, but was forced to act when states tried to sidestep it by marrying people anyway, forcing all other states to have to recognize such unions (law states that a marriage in one state must be recognized by the other states in the union).
Not all the public hates the war. My family escaped Islam in the 1950s. We've been expecting this war for decades. We KNOW what Islam has planned for you, me, our children.
Not for me, thank you. Bless President Bush for creating the largest fly trap in the world.
Same kind of guy as Former President Clinton with 140 pardons in the last month or so in office.
OUR President, and deserving of respect. You haven't been seditious in this post. I respect that. I think I see a patriot behind your words (someone who puts their country before their own ideology). Keep speaking up. I disagree.
Keep speaking up anyway.

Is this Harry Reid? Who is this "we" that wants to impeach President Bush? I think you mean that you want to impeach him and like most liberal crybaby scum are projecting your own personal feelings on the majority as a whole.
The war isn't failing, the politicians are, there is a big difference. As for Bush's career, he is already the President of the United States. He is going to retire and make a ton of money giving speeches and serving on boards of directors. His political career is over regardless of what happens.
Check the Constitution, the President can't pass a law for or against gay rights or anyone's rights for that matter. Congress, the Democrat controlled Congress at that, passes laws the Executive branch (President) enforces the laws.

Yours is a typical leftist stance that has no basis in the Constitution & lacks American values.
The war in Iraq was justified becuase Sadam was defying the conditions set forth by the US that allowed him to stay in power after he lost the first gulf war.
Osama attack the US becuase of our continued presence in Iraq & there was no end in sight of our occupancy (yes we were there that WHOLE time) as long as Saddam stayed in power.
ALL of congress voted for & passed BOTH the Iraq war & the Patriot act so don't just blame Bush. Blame them all.

King Geo's political career is toast and he knows it and doesn't care. He will keep going down until the bitter end in Jan. 2009.
When he said he would leave the Iraq withdrawal for the NEXT Pres. to figure out, I knew he didn't give a rip.

Bush is going to retire to his Crawford ranch and leave the Iraq mess to the next Prez.
The top political position is President of the USA. He has been just that for eight years. He no longer NEEDS a 'political career'.

the war is failing
not the plan
failing war part of the plan?
you mean we did not have a clue as to what would happen once Saddam was ousted from power?
And that instability would follow our destruction of the Iraqi infrastructure in "shock and awe".
(and who says video games don't influence behavior?)
And entering Iraq allowing looters to dismantle anything that was left.
Loot government buildings.
Saying...we don't know who to shoot at.
If you don't know who to shoot at ....
what the hell you doing there?....
Not securing city.
Not securing the city was just plain negligent.
And where the hell did the IRAQI ARMY go?

Right or not, people like you need to stop bashing the president like this. Yes, I understand the right of free speech but this is just pointless. When people from other countries see that we treat our leaders like this, how can they take us seriously as the UNITED States? If you feel this way, great. But it isn't like he's Hitler or Stalin or anything like that. You should look at other countries and see how far their constational rights will get them. And next time we get invaded, make sure to thank your self for invinting the enemy troops into our homeland. Why do you think the war is over there? Hum...perhaps to keep it off OUR soil? humm...Just think before you bash, k?
