well 13 is a prime number so its only factors are 13 & 1
So the equasion would then be
(X+13)(x+1)
which when multiplied is
x^2 +1x+13x+13 or x^2+14x+13
so b would be 14

14 is the right ans as 13 being prime has 1&13 as FACTORS
as x^2+14x+13=x^2+x+13x+13
=x(x+1)+13(x+1)
=(x+1)(x+13) ans

the only possible product of 13 that will give you a positive value is (13) x (1) , therefore the sum of the two numbers will give you 14.
