I'd rather hear it in August.
When the Iraqi Parliament is on VACATION
WASHINGTON: The White House on Friday appeared resigned to the fact that the Iraqi parliament is going to take August off, even though it has just eight weeks to show progress on military, political and economic benchmarks prescribed by the United States.
"My understanding is at this juncture they're going to take August off, but, you know, they may change their minds," White House press secretary Tony Snow said.
"You know, it's 130 degrees (54 Celsius) in Baghdad in August," he said, sympathetically.

No, I honestly believe that the report will have a very little postiive things to deliver-it not at all. But I also don't expect any change in policy from the president...If any of these reports mattered to the president, we shouldn't have invaded Iraq in the first place.

I think his report will state that we are making progress in some areas and falling flat in others. Honestly though his report won't matter at all. The White House is not going to pull the troops out no matter what and the Democrats in Congress will never admit that we are doing anything but losing. They can't wait, and will do everything in their power, for us to lose this war so they can use it as political capital.

I'm sure it will. Your not getting the whole story when you watch Brian Wilson or Katie Couric every night. I have talked to friends who have just come back from there. It's not nearly as bad as the evening news would like you to believe. After all they have a product to sell.

Where in your premise is there room for the truth? If the report says there was progress made, it must be a lie right? Typical America hating liberal.

I don't think it will matter. I think most people have their minds already made up. If you are for the war, you will read the report with positive intentions, if you are against then you will read with negative intentions.

It's already even. It can only get better. I think the benchmarks are ridiculous though. Lets put benchmarks up for our congress and see if they can muster. They've had 200+yrs of practice, and no bombs going off in the House cafeteria.
