The current camaro model (stock) beats out the standard police interceptor model (crown vic) in initial takeoff speed, but the interceptor catches up fast.

That doesnt answer your question about the BMW necessarily, but can at least give you a comparison point.

So sure, you might be able to beat them if you're both taking off at a dead stop, but it won't take more than a couple of seconds for the other car to catch up, and he's got friends with decent cars too... and guns....

You might outrun an individual vehicle chasing you, but radio waves travel at the speed of light, which is 186,282 miles per second, and you don't outrun those.

I think you would need a little bigger engine than an M3, but it is possible.......until the helicopter comes out to play. Give it a shot....who knows....you may end up on T.V.

On the east coast, most police cars are Chevy Impalas or Dodge Chargers. Don't know about the Impala, but I think the Hemi Charger will catch you.

You can't outrun their radios. Police cars have large V8's and police are specially trained in pursuit driving. You have little if any chance.

You can out run a patrol car but you can't out run radios and helicopters.

yes,my cop car cuts out at 130 mph,however,the eye in the sky and motorola will get you 99% of the time.good luck,speed kills.

YES! one of my friends outran a cop in a 94 Thunderbird, and my other friend outran one in a 1980 Buick Regal. so there you go.
