No one can do that for you. You and only you are the one who has to filter all the factors that come into play in finding the best answer. . It is indeed, a daunting exercise

yahoo should change the rating to giving up to 3 good answers #1-10 pts 2-5 pts 3 -2 pts something along that line

I always have trouble when I have to pick a best answer... usually I narrow it down to a few I like, then randomly pick one.

are u asking -"how do you pick only one best answer?" or are you asking "how do you pick only one? and best answer will get 10 points!.... if the latter is the case it would help to know what it is that you are choosing between... hope its not noses!!

It's not easy to do when you get lots of nice answers - just try to find one that sticks out. Better if you pick it as that shows the answerer your appreciation for their answer :)

Oh Dear, Why Do You Make Me Think? I wish to be blank-minded to house my SweetT in!

I'm the asker. So, I have some answers in my mind. I pick the one that comes nearest to it (with a surprising O'Henry Twist at the end or a Tease or with some intimacy, a sense-of-humor, blatantly SEXY etc etc) expressed in a conversational tone. (if possible in a husky voice)

In short, follow the Shining Model I've set.

1) You can always let your question go into Voting...
2) Pick a good answer, then say, "Thanks for all of your answers! I wish I could pick all of you for Best Answer!!!" or "so-and-so would have been my second pick for Best Answer!!!"... then give everyone a thumbs-up.

i find it hard sometimes maybe we should be allowed 3 best... 10 points for best, 5 points for 2nd and 3 points for 3rd...because there is some good answers that miss out when we can only give one person the points
