Yes you can. But all states have different requirements. Why would you want to get married before 21? You can't even drink legally at your own wedding. I suggest waiting. You're parents will be pleased (but it sounds like you dont care what they think), you'll be old enough to drink, and you'll make sure you are making the right choice by not rushing it. Anyway Click on the link below to see all the states marrige laws!! Good Luck and Take care!

Yes, you can. You can get married in any other state that has 18 as the age there. LA and AL are both 18. Most people here in MS whose parents won't sign for them at 18 go to Alabama, because you can walk in the courthouse there and get married the same day, whereas there is a short waiting period in LA (I think it's only 24 hours).
MS - must be 21, blood tests, 3-day waiting period after license is issued
LA - must be 18, no blood tests, unsure of waiting period but I think 24 hours (I got married there)
AL - must be 18, no blood tests, no waiting period (I know LOTS of people that got married there!)
I wouldn't do it at your age if I were you, but it's not my place to judge you.

Isn't the legal age of consent 18 in ALL 50 states?? I believe so, sounds like someones parents are feeding her a line of BS hoping she won't get married!

You sure could... many states it's only 18 & there's several where you don't have to jump through any hoops.
Are you sure MS requires permission? ...or is someone feeding you a line?
