Tim Duncan is the better player in a sense that he has been consistent ever since his rookie year. Granted Tony Parker was only 19 his rookie year, but he doesn't have to face premier players to the likes of Kevin Garnett, Amare Stoudamire, and Dirk Nowitzki. Duncan is averaging 21.8 points per game for his career, while Parker is averaging 15.6. Recently, Parker is definitely putting his ballot in as the better player, but overall, I still believe Tim Duncan is greater, with 2 MVP trophies, 3 Finals MVP trophies, and 4 Rings to prove it. Duncan averaged 21.1 points a game his rookie season and hasn't lost a foot with posting 20.0 points a game this year. Not many players average a double-double for their career. At the end of their careers, Duncan will have his jersey retired much quicker than it took for the Spurs to retire David Robinson's jersey. Parker may one day see his jersey in the rafters as well, but it may take a little longer after retirement as it did for Sean Elliott. Duncan's been to what, 8 or 9 All star games, starting!! The team is built around the Big Fundamental, and Tony won't be the main Superstar until Tim retires, sending down the reigns to this premier point guard. Regardless of how great Tim is though, I couldn't see the team without Tony, he guides that team on the court better than any other point guard, knowing when to pass, and when to drive. Can't stop that tear drop either, just like you can't stop Timmy's bank shot off the glass from the corner. Kudos to Tony for agreeing to change his shot as well, he's become a far better and more consistent jump shooter thanks to Chip Engeland. Timmy wins though by a pretty good margin in my books.

I am THE BIGGEST FAN OF THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS!! The question you asked is just like which daugther do you like better? Both have been in the league for quite some time. Tony and Tim have each won the Finals MVP or MVP of the league, Tim has been MVP 3 times, each year he was MVP he won the Finals, Tony Parker on the other hand has never won MVP yet I think he deserves it. Do you remember in Game 3 of the Finals when there was about two minutes left at Cavs home and he nailed the three pointer to put the Spurs in the lead by 5, he is a playmaker, he makes the plays and the rest of the Spurs stand near to help. In the end I choose Tim Duncan, Why? Because he has been called " the ideal Power Guard" Heck the whole team,(this was in a newspaper) each and every starting player qualifies as the ideal player in their position. He has created a dynstasy, spurs join other dynstasies like the Lakers, Bulls, Celtics, and Knicks. Each and everytime the Spurs/ Duncan has made it to the quarterfinals they have won it all, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2007. It makes me proud to say that I am a Spurs fan! :)

Tony Parker is a top 10 point guard in the NBA right now, Tim Duncan as stated by Charles Barkley is the greatest power forward in NBA history. Duncan has won titles without Parker, Parker has won nothing without Duncan

duncan he defined the role of a power forward and has won 4 rings with a separate supporting cast every time. Thats what you call greatness when you can mold 4 different winning teams around just one player. Duncan is the most fundamental and the most dominant power forward in the last 20 years. Tony is a good player and knows when to step up but he also relies on duncan and he is a big piece of the puzzle but duncan is the center.
Look at his best season:
27.6 points
14.4 rebounds
4.3 blocks !!
5 assists
.7 steals
.82% free throw
.43 % regular shots
he is an all around player who is amazing and makes others like tony and manu better with his wisdom.

That is a hard question but I like Parker better. He is faster and Duncan is tall and scores a lot of point but it is only because he is so tall Parker to me has more moves.
