Congress is a pit. I believe that many people run for high office with the aim of benefiting their fellow man. Unfortunately the system is setup in such a way that it corrupts even the most benevolent of souls over time. This is why I favor term limits at all levels in the federally elected government. When faced with limited amounts of time in which to form and carry out an agenda more would be accomplished. Additionally, it would provide less time for the people's representatives to lose touch with their real roots and constituencies.

If the Republicans in Congress cared, they would quit whining about the war not going well and put their vote where their mouth is....Republicans have been coming out saying how we need a change of course in Iraq, but then vote to continue the failed policy until Sept. The blood of every soldier that dies between now and Sept is on their hands.

I don't think Congress cares about anyone but themselves, by-in-large.

If they did, our borders would be secured, our soldiers would not be working with their hands tied, and they woul be working for us not against us.

New blood only in the next Congress, please.

Wouldnt they get paid by the hour instead of a salary that way time paid = time worked
