What makes you think it is?

The world is as it has always been with people relating to each other in both positive as well as negative ways. If you want to accomplish what 'you' determine as positive outcomes, then look to your local community.

What are local challenges? Why do they exist? Can you develop solutions? What can you do to reach those solutions?

Don't try to solve the problems of the world but rather work on actually achieving something in your little corner of it. Whith such effort comes a better understanding of people and how the world works and, if your lucky, some satisfaction.

We're all part of the problem. Try reading some Kurt Vonnegut, he'll put some inspiration in you. But the world is always messed up because there is no such thing as Utopia. Everyone is suffering. Buddha will tell you more about suffering and nirvana.

Its all about power. People want it, and those who have it don't want to give it up. Terrorist have been around longer than Bush has been president, the world has been screwed up longer than the USA has been a country.

A big problem is people just look at the negative, if more looked at the positive things might be different.

If we all thought and felt the same way, it would be a pretty boring place. The trick is to understand the mistakes of the past, so that we can move forward and not repeat them.
