I've been on the pill 13 years. Pack just ended and I'm not going to get refilled. I've been taking prenatal vitamins since last month.

You need to go to your OB/Gyn for a Pre-conception visit.

Its a good idea to let your doctor know and book an appointment w/ your doctor if your trying to concieve, she then will give you a physical and make sure everything is okay and also any questions you may have.
That's great your starting your prenatal vitamins, alot of women don't start then soon enough!

You don't have to, but you may just want to let him/her know. It's a good idea to get an exam to be sure you're in good health before trying to concieve.

No, I don't think it is absolutely necessary. I would take the time to make a pre-conception appointment with your doctor though. You can compile questions, and he/she can give you any information they think you will need as you begin your journey of TTC a child.

whoa, 13 yrs! I wouldn't think so...I didn't. I would, however, give your body at least a month to adjust and get your normal, non-bc period, b/f trying to get pregnant. That way, if anything out of the ordinary happens, you can call your dr. I dunno what would, I'm just saying, that way, you're not pregnant, dealing w/ an unforeseen complication.

No, you don't have to tell the doctor. You can if you want - but it's not required unless you have a history of some health issues.
