I have PMDD, I was on Yasmin but the migraines were killer. I took Ortho Tri Cyclen, got pregnant on it, tried Seasonale and only had erratic spotting. Usually the pill gives me weight gain, headaches and kills the sex drive. So for the past 6 months I haven't been on anything. But now the PMDD is getting the best of me. I can be a monster and the cramps are so bad. I've dealt with this for the past 5 years (it wasn't as bad before but got severe 5 years ago) I have tried about all the birth controls out there, Depo, Lunelle, Nuva Ring and an IUD (which I wouldn't wish on anyone! That was AWFUL) So short of a hysterectomy, what else is there? I considered trying Yaz, I liked Yasmine except the headaches, and then I read about Lybrel, which is a 365 day pill that stops the period. So my question is without a period and menstrual cycle would the cramps etc get better or just build up until they are released when I decide to have a period???

Yes, it's possible that skipping periods (which is also done for those who have endometriosis or menstrual migraines) could help the PMDD situation. Sometimes drs will use antidepressants to help deal with the PMDD.

Something I found helpful with the mood swings of periods is taking B6 (I do it thru a bottle of B Complex). You can buy it in a bottle by itself or as part of B Complex. You can find in the major drugstores like Wal-Mart.

I would also recommend talking to your doctor about this issue as well to get additional ideas and to see what they think about you trying the B Complex.

I have something that I believe will help you physically and emotionally. You couldn't get anymore nuts and irregular than I was 4+ years ago. I was desperate!!!!!! A health food consultant recommended this to me. I never miss a day and I can't imagine ever going back to the way I was. "Xiao Yao Wan", is a 100% natural herbal based little black pill. Start with the recommended dose and experiment one pill at a time until you find your proper doseage. Any health food store or Chinese market should carry them If not, order them. They saved my sanity! I haven't had a period in over 2 years and I have breezed through menopause. No more cramps, no more mood swings, nada, nothing, zilch for over 2 years now. You gotta try them. I shouldn't say try because this is something that you should always take. I buy them by the case now. I never want to run out of them again, ever.

She would probably be underneath plenty of strain. Or perhaps she is truthfully pregnant and the house being pregnant exams aren't correct. Also why did you wait 3 months to take her to the health center?
