Fred Thompson.

Hear me out: I am a democrat from NY.
Hillary will NOT win if she even manages to get the nomination. She is looked on as weak by most women i know here, and few men I know will voite for her. She is shrill and comes across as conniving.

Obama will not win either. He most likely will not get the nomination, and not just because he is black.
His lack of foreign policy is a major hinderance, and i know of maybe 5 democrats that will vote for him. That's 5 more than hillary, but still. His Amnesty position is also a hinderance to many, including myself.

Edwards will probobly win the nomination, as he is teh most stable thing going. The only "sure bet" so to speak on the democrats side. However, his sick wife may be a factor.

Across the aisle, Giuliani will not get the nod. His 9/11 political capital is already spent, and he couldn't even carry NY if he ran. We all remember too well that when there wasn't a crisis, he was a Nazi-like terror who meddled in too many other peoples lives in times of peace.
Plus, his glib attitude and three marriages will hurt him with Republicans, as well as his abortion stance.

Thompson, on the other hand- he's got alot of things going for him.
Long time in public service, well spokena dn familier to voters because of his Acting prominence. he is also more "leader like" than all of the otehr candidates combined.

He is the republican's best hope and his voting record will sway many Democrats who are fed up with the choice their party will make. His is 'conservative-lite" who speaks like a regular joe, and not like a politician. He doesn't apologize for who he dates or how he lives.

I expect he will win with 60% of the vote unless a MAJOR scandal appears.

He can take Obama, Hillary, Giuliani and Edwards down, one by one or even all together.

So, Thompson is my pick right now.
I'll figure out who I'll vote for down the road.

As for the guy above me?
That "mandatory chipping" is a sad rumour being spread by people like you. We can't get 25 million illegals to leave the country, but they are going to "chip" all americans?
Don't lie to support your candidates please.

Some people might think this is a long shot but I really think Gravel will WIN. It is still very early in the race and he is gain good momentum. Why he will win? I think when the American people wake up to the fact that the elite have controlled our country all the way back to when the Constitution was drafted. We need a new direction Mike Gravel has the National Initiative that will make every citizen a lawmaker. That means we will control our government and they will still be in affect only as an advisory board. Please check it out this is our only way to save the world from the elitist group. (I also just found out yesterday that starting 2008 everyone is going to need federal ID with a chip implanted under your skin) THINK ABOUT THAT ONE!! What civil liberties are we going to have left if Gravel doesn't get in to save us ALL

If I were laying odds, they would go like this:

HRC 5:3
Guiliani 3:1
Thompson 7:2
Obama 5:1
Edwards 6:1
Romney 9:1
Field 20:1

Hillary Clinton is likely to win the Dem nomination because of generalized Democratic nostalgia for the Clinton years, and the perception that she can win. In a general election against Guiliani, she can beat him like a drum, he is a really unappealing person, and Romney is so inconsistent and has the Mormon problem. The place where she looks weak is against Fred Thompson, but I think she can hold Gore/Kerry states and probably win Florida or Ohio, maybe even AZ, NV and NM because of the Hispanic vote. I'm not overly thrilled about the idea, but that's the way I see it happening.

Unfortunately it will go to Hillary Clinton. She has a great name recognition and tons of money. She could pick Obama as her vice presidential running mate thus picking up not only her supporters but an enormoust amount of supporters who like Obama. They both are fabulous fund raisers but in the end with her husband's help she will come out ahead. Like it or not he is extremely popular. When he is around the crowds are bigger and more money is donated. All that is in her favor.

Hillary Clinton because she has at least 65% of the women's vote and a sizeable lead on any Republican challenger.

The cons can flap their lips all they want about how "divisive" she is, the fact is NO ONE will ever come close to being as divisive as their monkey-boy Bush has been.

Hillary obviously, because she's been blessed by the liberal TV media and newspapers.

I'm guessing most likely Edwards. Obama and Clinton won't be it. Remember the momentum of Howard Dean?
