Since no one else will own up--- probably a couple times a week, on average, depending on how often I get sex with the spouse.

Never. What is it with people who just can't accept the fact that some sexually normal people simply DO NOT masturbate. I have no problem with guys (or women) who do. I think it's normal and healthy. BUT I DON'T MASTURBATE and that is also normal and healthy. Get over it. Not everybody is exactly average in every category. Why should it offend anyone that some of us perfectly normal guys do not masturbate and feel no need to masturbate. Why can't you leave us alone. I don't think you are going to hell if you do masturbate, so why should you think I am a liar because I don't masturbate.

I'm 60 and have an active sex life. I still masturbate 1 - 2 times a week to orgasm.
Sometimes I just stroke for a while because it feels good (usually in the morning watching the news before going to work. Empty nest, so no one is there to see me.).

For married men, masturbation is not necessarily an avenue to avoid being with their wife. Masterbation provides an environment of ulitmate control. Not having worries about ensuring the pleasure of your partner and being able to control all aspects of the sexual activity are desirable and allow a sense of freedom not available during intercourse. It could also be a way of hiding a fettish that he might be embarassed or ashamed of, or which he may feel you think of as perverted.

Not yet married but almost (just a few months til we are), and have been with her for two years now so I would assume that I can still answer. Proably about once a week sometimes more, but it's still slightly less then when I was single. From everyone I know it's pretty normal for both men and women to continue with doing that.

My wife and I have a very active sex life with no complaints however she is not arround all the time. and there are just sometimes I just want to get it over with. being turned on or just bored so I am going to say that I masterbate 1-2 times a week. however in my last marriage I was masterbating 1-2 times a day. if not more.
