Bonds should be given all the credit in the world for being at the door step of a great accomplishment. The all-time homerun king and over 500 stolen bases, no one is even close to his accomplishments. Add to that a career OBP of .444, SLG .607, and OPS 1.052 and he is in a league of his own.

This anecdotal; I got into some money money problems so I found temp work as waiter doing banquet service-it's a honest days labor.
I'm doing this huge black tie gig , all the heavy hitters are there Ali, Mays, Bonds . Celine Dion is doing the entertainment. I personally don't like her music But what a neat gracious classy lady she is.
So during the night my eyes and Ali's meet and I am starstruck because if you're of a certain generation you are in awe of Ali.
Ali knows this ; looks right back at me and smiles-I can now die happy
The same thing happens with Bonds except that Bonds doesn't have the innate class that Dion & Ali do.Not only does he look at me like I'm a friggin' cockroach But he and his boys decide to push me out of the way , despite the fact that I'm carrying a tray w/10 entrees on it and I out weigh any one of them by 40 lbs.
When my sisters were all dating , I told them all if you want to find out who the real man is that you are dating watch how he treats the waitstaff when you go out to dinner and proceed acordingly.
No even w/o the steriods I wouldn't root for him, I root for the good guys to make it not the bastards

Screw all of you Bonds haters. Barry Bonds is THE BEST player that has EVER played the game. Not only is he the only player with 400 homers, and 400 stolen bases.......he's the only one with 500 homers and 500 stolen bases. He's earned 8 gold dloves. He has 7 MVP trophies.......nobody else has ever had more than 3. He holds ( or will hold ) every significant batting record. His record amount of walks prove that no batter is, or has ever been, as feared as Barry Bonds. It doesn't matter if he's an @sshole sometimes.......and it doesn't matter if you THINK he did steroids. ( There is absolutely no concrete proof that he did......innocent unti PROVEN quilty.) This guy's stats are so far above anyone elses that you'd have to be a complete moron to say that he isn't the best ever. You may hate the guy.......but that doesn't mean that he isn't one heck of a ball player.

Either you love Barry in spite of all the mounting evidence that he was/is a cheater or you hate the fact the he is about to break the most sacred of sporting records with artificial enhancement. Yes, I am....................even though I am not a big Barry Bonds fan and there is a lot of controversy surrounding him, I always love seeing history being made..............Trevor Hoffman, Mark McGwire, Cal Ripkin Jr., the Boston Red Sox are all moments I'll never forget watching

BB being in a minor slump now will soon break hanks record, he deserves it! i have never seen any ball player thru the years hit like barry does, i last saw him in LA hit 741, you couldnt believe how fast he turns the bat! hes poetry in motion.... as for the people who hate him....screw off! you know zip about baseball
