Whats unhealthy about it?
I sleep in the nude and more people that you would know do.
It's more comfortable. You don't get all tangled up in clothes while sleeping.
As long as she gets dressed before she leaves her room and isn't flaunting herself around your family shes fine.

Sleeping nude isn't unhealthy, it actually can feel pretty good.
depending on the family and how you feel about nudity.
My older step-sister sometimes slept nude.
So just let your daughter. BUT if there are boys in the house (brothers, dad), then maybe she shouldn't so she can have some privacy. Even is she sleeps nude with her room locked. Being 17 and nude with younger brothers can be a tempting thing for them to peak and maybe snap some pics of her.
You just need to make sure that she doesn't sleep nude at freinds house. Then she can be in for some real troubel with other people's male family members.

I must say that sleeping nude is NOT unhealthy. What is so unhealthy about it??? Some people sleep better without the restrictions of clothes, and I am one of them.
I've never suffered any unhealthy consequences because of it, and I am not a promiscuous woman or anything of the sorts. I think it's fairly normal.
If your daughter is a good girl, doesn't give you problems, and does well in school, why don't you just leave her alone about it? As long as she is not running around the house naked in front of people, what's the problem?
Don't hound her or you're going to embarass her and push her away.

Is sleeping nude unhealthy? First lets think of safety if a fire was to break out would she have time to get into some clothes?, or if there are males in the house will she be in danger of some inappropriate behavior? I have also heard that young woman should wear a bra to bed, even though I don't know why myself. If it is a big concern you and your daughter should set down and discuss the pros and con's, also speak with your family doctor and get their take on the subject.

Well depends why is she sleeping naked for does she find it more comfortable then let her just ask her to make a sign to hang on door so no one will walk in on her. Why is it unhealthy I have heard that it is actually health to sleep w/o underwear on because it gives it a chance to breath. I would just sit down and talk w/her about how u feel and ask her why she does this and then come to some kind of agreement that u both can live with. Good luck.

My best answer. It is not unhealthy. There is no risk associated with sleeping naked at all.
Of course common modesty would dictate that she would clothe herself to leave the bed or walk around the house, in case someone were to see her. However, nakedness in and of itself is fine.
There is absolutely no scientific evidence that points to a lack of clothing in bed as unhealthy in any way so long as cleanliness and modesty are addressed. This does not seem to be an issue from a medical standpoint.
If you wish her to remain dressed at night as a parental rule, make it so. She can sleep naked under her own roof when she moves out.

You can't tell her that, because it isn't unhealthy to sleep in the nude. What you need to figure out is why it bothers YOU so much that she sleeps naked? I will say this...the first time an alarm goes off; smoke, tornado, whatever, she's going to WISH she had some clothes on! LOL Hey, there's an idea...;)

It is not unhealthy to sleep in the nude. It seems like she feels confident with her body so maybe you can look at it as a good thing. When I was her age I slept in a tshirt and panties only because I had 3 brothers.

I've been sleeping naked since 15. I found that (for me anyway) sleeping wearing nightclothes is what can be unhealthy! I would often wake up too hot, or my neckline would have gotten tangled and I would be half-strangling myself, and at times it was just plain uncomfortable!
Sleeping naked doesn't sound like it's really the issue here, though... It sounds as though you're upset because she's not doing as you say for one of the few times in her life. (Just what I'm seeing from you including that she doesn't give you problems and is a good student.)
Honestly, with teens- the easiest way to get them to see your way is to compromise. Tell her you don't mind if she sleeps naked as long as she keeps her door shut and puts on undies and a nightie before she exits her room at any time. Once sleeping naked isn't a rebellion issue anymore, she'll probably come to see it your way. If she doesn't- well, she's seventeen... they have to grow up and make their own choices sometime!

Why is it unhealthy? Your body needs to air sometimes - i think it is fine and perfectly healthy. It fee'sl more comfortable than clothes getting all scrunched up when you sleep. No one see's her and if she is a nice obedient girl you should concerntrate your worries on bigger issues that may come along this is a trivial matter than is her prefernce and none of your business really - not being rude to you. But i think you'd be better leaving this issu e alone and being a mum and friend in area's that count for it.

I am a 16yo girl and I have been sleeping nude for about 2 years.
It is actually healthy for your body to sleep naked. And in the privacy of her bedroom, what's it matter. Why should you care what she wears to bed? It's not as if she is on display. Leave her alone about it.
My family know I sleep naked. My Dad and brother show me the respect to knock on my bedroom door before they enter, so that if I need to cover up I can.
