There aren't that many marquee power bats that seem available on the midseason market so I think they're going to trade for a solid middle end rotation pitcher. I mean the bats they seem to like: Dye and Texeira, both have possiblities blocking them. I mean the outfield is pretty crowded as it is, with Little struggling to find both Kemp and Ethier enough at-bats. Ethier seems the most likely candidate for a trade, but are they going to bench Kemp or Gonzo then? Maybe this would be easier if they were trying to sign Dye as a free agent during the offseason when Gonzo leaves and they could use Ethier in a trade for a possible pitcher. For Texeira: Colleti seems in love with Loney s do the whole Dodger organization as a whole and Texeira is demanding too many prospects-in one rumor i heard the Dodgers would have to give up Billingsey, kershaw, and Loney for him. No way, he's too expensive and he won't play third base either. I mean, what are they gonna ride the $9+ million dollar Nomar on the bench? And what about LaRoche? He's a very valuable third base prospect. His path is going to be blocked by Texeira.
I think they should try and trade for a ChiSox pitcher since the Sox seem so desperate. But NOT Contreras. Garland or Vazquez, preferably Vazquez since it seems they can get him the cheapest since Ozzie remains convinced tat Vazquez is just mediocre despite his good numbers on a bad team. I would say the Dodgers would package Delwyn Young (he's been their best player at the triple AAA level for a few years now but he hasn't been used that much because of the outfield prospects) with another young player with loads of potential. Maybe Betemit? lately he's been perfroming well when he's been given the chance and he has been showing consistent power-in a 500-bat season, with his production this year, he's on pace to hit 36 homers. But he's not getting lost of playing time because of Nomar. Of course, knowing the luck that I bring my favorite teams, these sensible trades won't happen.

Everybody is looking for pitching and the Dodgers are no exception. Right now, with Wolf out, Hendrickson is their only left handed starting pitcher. Although Wolf should be back soon schmidt is out for the season and they are currently using Tomko to fill in. They need a pitcher if they want to give themselves a real shot at winning this year, and the bad news is that there may not be one available.

Kevin Millwood.
The minor leagues are deep, as are the pockets. Look for them to add a good, experienced starting pitcher. It seems that the really need a bat, but there is nobody in the lineup that they would sit, and there is nobody they could trade for who's better than Kemp if they wanted to add. Contract issues asside, Millwood + Rangers seem to be the best solution here (though I know of no such rumours).

Delwyn Young will be traded away, he's there top prospect but, with Pierre, Eithier, and Kemp in the way he won't have any playin time so they have to trade him away.
They say theyll trade for someone in Florida but either way he's leaving. There are other trades they could make 2 but they could get someone good for Young.
They will obviously trade for someone with power. If they trade for another asain pitcher I swear I will kill somone.

Dodgers are lacking in offence,so look for them to pick up a power bat like Jermaine Dye.Also they might pick up a reliever who could close for them.
