Why do I want other people to agree with me.

Is it because you are trying to sell something for personal gain?
Is it because you must have a re-enforcement of your ideals?
Is it because becoming a religious salesman could be the way to pay your bills?

You don't influence people to agree with what you say. You say something that people will agree with. Jeez.

The only way to convince most people to agree with what you say is to say something they already agree with. Funny how that works.

You can use the logical method and speak in a logical manner that people can understand and get behind or you can be like the liberals and want censorship and the opposition shut down. Your choice.

Bring them irrefutable evidence that what you say is not just your opinion and nothing more. Give evidence from several sources some biased and some not. The evidence must be compelling enough that people must believe it or it is just another person's opinion.

Logic? Who needs it. Proof? Who believes it. Truth? Not worth its weight in gold.
In my experience, the best way to get people to agree with you is to trick them into thinking they came to the conclusion you want them to reach all by themselves. People don't want to think that their minds can be controlled by others, make them think they are in control of themselves.
