Both!! I have two dogs and ten of my own cats, plus a stray mama and kittens I'm fostering. In my *experience* it isn't true at all that cats only bother with you when they want to. Most of my cats come to me when I call them, sometimes quicker and more readily than my dogs do. lol In fact, when I take my dogs for their daily walks through the woods, my Siamese dude comes with us!! He walks with us the entire way and all the way back, staying with me the whole time, while my dogs run like banshees through the woods. So I guess the stereotypes about cats vs. dogs aren't necessarily true? I can't imagine my house being 'full' without both cats and dogs to brighten it up.

I have 2 dogs and 3 kittens, so I say both. If you can't afford a cat AND a dog, I guess you only have a choice between a cat OR a dog. I'd say a dog. They're lively active animals and are social with their owners. They're at times, easy to train and get rid of stress. Cats do the same, but dogs are like best friends to humans.

Cogs and dats. Canine-feline hybrids get the best gas mileage.
