I have a '88 Kawasaki EX500. What is the size of the bolt that holds the shifter in place. It fell off when I was riding and now I can't ride anymore until I get it fixed because my shifter is just hanging. I need it today because I don't feel like waiting 5-7 days for the parts to be shipped to the store.

Look at this pic. It's the bolt that's circled all the way at the bottom

This is the actual pic of the bolt

It's a special bolt. You cannot get one at a hardware store. Only from Kawasaki.
Pay the extra shipping costs and order it over night delivery.

Most of these are 10mm bolt patterns. If I were you, Id go to a local hardware store with a nut that matches the threads and simply go looking for what you need...

Best of luck. Nothing worse than being unable to ride due to a single bolt!
