I know exactly what you mean. I had that feeling throughout my pregnancy and my doctor told me I am fine. But if I start to feel like it's beating too fast, then I should sit down, put my feet up, and drink some water. It seems to work for me. But it's good that you're going to see your doc because everyone is different. Good luck

I am 28 weeks pregnant and I have the same problem. My doctor said it was pregnancy palpitations and that it was normal to a point but that she would keep an eye on my blood pressure. If your blood pressure stays in the "safe" range, there's really nothing that can be done, or at least nothing that they will do. I know it sucks big time but I really hope this helps. Good luck with the baby!

My cousin is pregnant right now and experiencing the same thing... I never did though. She was admitted into the hospital for her rapid heartbeat... I think you should go to the Urgent Care Dept. and get checked immiediately. The absolute worst thing they can do is tell you that you are just worrying too much and send you home. There is nothing lost in getting checked out but there could be something lost if you don't....please don't wait... go now.

for me not so much, i mean if i am stressed or moving around a lot then it is noticeably faster. and yes when relaxing it is a little quicker than usual but generally not that fast and not most of the time. i am 5 months and i think that may be something u need to check with your doctor about. better safe than sorry good luck !

It happens to me sometimes due to anxiety. I'm really glad you have a doc appt. Actually, if it's constantly beating so fast go to the ER...Remember, we can't take risks as we did when we were only thinking about ourselves-it's all about baby now!

I get that sometimes at night when I lay down to go to sleep. It's really annoying because when I lay my head on the pillow I can actually hear my heart beating.

I don't notice it as much when i'm just sitting down. But if i go up stairs or any basic physical activity at all my chest is just rocking from my heartbeat, it's crazy. I have to sit down before i do anything else. I feel like an old woman.

I went to triage in labor & delivery at 30 weeks with this problem. I had called my dr and she said to meet her at the hospital. It turned out I was dehydrated. They kept me on a monitor and made me drink 8 glasses of water, and my heart rate came down.

You are circulating blood ofr both you and the baby now. It's not uncommon for your heart rate/blood pressure to go high. Talk to your doctor about it anyways. He can help you see if there are any abnormailties.

Your heart is definitely something to watch because it is working doubletime for the baby. I know that I feel that at times, but not constantly. I'm glad you are getting it checked out.
