on defeating our enemy that we are fighting in Iraq and around the world?

I hear more about what we are doing wrong, how we are this and that and I hear little to nothing about helping us defeat the enemy.

I hear about how we need to leave Iraq and not fight who is there. There are some people attacking us, so why will the democrats not fight them there

Yes I agree 100%

If the libs put even half as much effort into attacking the terrorists as they do the USA, we'd be terrorist-free in no time!

One problem is that we really don't know who our enemies are. They talk about Iran and Syria a lot but but the majority of terrorists in Iraq are Saudis(just like the 9/11 hijackers). There is a question of why we went into Iraq and didn't finish things in Afghanistan where the hijackers were trained. The US has a very small force there which NATO is in charge of.

There is also issues of making the USA safer. Just because we're in another country, doesn't mean it's safe in the US. Timothy McVeigh was a terrorist born and bred in the US and wasn't Muslim, instead a Christian. The terrorists there are not the only worries we have.

Also, some moderate Muslims become angry because they feel people want to convert them to Christianity- the same way Christians would be mad here if Muslims came over, invaded and tried to convert people.

The Demonrats verbally attack the US daily,in fact as much as I loathed Calderon's Speech,it was tame compared to some of the things the Demonrats say about this Nation on a daily basis.Essentially by talking to the Dems in Congress,Calderon was speaking to people who may loathe this nation more than he apparently does. I believe that Americans are tired. Has a Vietnam veteran war is not nearly as glamorous as we might think it is. America's history is founded in war and I believe Americans have just had a bellyful of fighting.

Death is not heroic, it is ugly and if you are one of those facing combat you will most likely come back a changed person if you come back at all.

Day after a day when you're looking into the darkness wondering if there is a bullet with your name on it, wondering if you will ever see your loved ones again you ask yourself I hope this conflict is worth human life.

Yes I find it odd that the Democrats think we should run away from Al Qaeda in Iraq. The sad truth is that they care more about the party than the country and more about winning elections than winning wars.

They are doing the will of the majority of the people. Even many stalwart GOP members are beginning to see the light.

Simple. They want us to lose because that will make Presiedent Bush look bad & that is their primary motivation.

They're invested in our defeat. Since they no longer stand for anything, they win elections by attacking Republicans. It doesn't matter if it's the war, the economy, etc. They win by demonizing Republicans, and anything Republicans stand for. I think it's a disgusting display of anti-American behavior based solely on a lust for power.

I'm going out on a limb here, but it may be because people are dying in a war that has not weakened Al Queda at all, according to your own administration's report. Why do Republicans wnt to continue fighting a useless war until everyone comes home in a bodybag?

War? What war? Are you referring to the badly planned invasion/occupation of Iraq?
