Hi sweetheart this must be very difficult for you although you are the grand age of 14 it is still something that must be terrifying you. First of all you are a great friend to have and realise this your friend seems to have a lot going on at the moment and certainly needs help. I think that maybe you should talk to your school councillor about your worries for your friend, Talk to some of your other friends and ask if she has told any of them get their support and then support her the best you can. However, whats really important is that you have done your best and if she does anything silly then it is not, was not your fault and your mom is right prayer always helps good luck honey hope this helps

It means that there is something going on with the person emotionally. It is not something to take lightly. It could be serious, a way to get attention or the friend feels useless. My son kept saying the same thing and we didn't handle it well. He would cut himself. Eventually he did try suicide, but thankfully we got him to the hospital in time. The doctors diagnosed severe depression. We had to send him to a center for teens with psychological problems. Stayed there a year and a half before finally being released.
He is okay now and a well functioning adult. Even spent four years in the Marine Corps and has a responsible position with the local law enforcement agency.
Again, talks of suicide have to be taken seriously. Have you contacted her parents, has she received counseling, and has she done anything to prove intent. I would not delay in finding out where the problem lies.

Self contained issues dealing with social life ..someone really needs to talk to her to bring it out to the table and address those issues immediately ..She may not want to kill herself per se.. but quite possible and may want to "kill" some aspect of herself .. look into it ..

She is crying for help. Don't believe the saying that if they vocalize it they won't do anything. I know from experience. She is desperate and wants someone to believe in her and help her through this. She needs to get to the doctor quickly. Let her family know what's going on too. They need to be a part of this.

She wants some attention that she is not getting elsewhere. If she REALLY wanted to kill herself she would have already done it. Just be supportive and tel her that you are there if she ever needs someone to talk to.....sometimes just having someone to talk to and vent out to will help her solve her problems.

It means she wants to die. You should talk to her, she is obviously reaching out to you because she feels like she can't talk to her mother...If you are concerned that she is serious, then you should contact some one in the mental health field for help. You should also tell her mother, but warn her mother not to talk to her about it at first to keep her from doing anything to harsh. She could get embarrassed and be more upset and hurt that you told her mother.

It means she needs someone to talk to. If someone really wants to kill themselves, they do it!!
If you know her parents, call them and tell them what happened (if you think you can), then talk with this young lady. Maybe the problem is she CAN'T talk with her parents or something at home is going on and she needs to talk with someone and figure it out.
This is a pretty touchy subject. But if she were really intent on killing herself, she wouldn't have told you about it. I feel she needs someone to talk to and she feels comfortable enough to talk with you. Sit down with her and find out what's going on, then figure out what to do.

What do you mean, What does this mean? Your a Mother? ....scary
Obviously this little girl is experiencing some issues in her life that she is having trouble dealing with. Since you aren't equipped to help her, talk to the girl's mother maybe she'll teach you something.

just what she said, she cant be more blunt than that, shes screaming for help . I would be asking her some questions to see how serious her problems are and try to get her to open up to me and talk about whats going on in her life, she may just need someone to listen and to let her vent. on the other hand she could really have serious issues such as incest.

This means you have the responsibility to notify her parents and possibly her school.
You should sit down and talk with her and ask her what's going on. If it's issues at school talk to her parents, if it's issues at home talk to the school guidance counselor.
This girl was reaching out to you for your help, please don't let her down.
