Of course I would be supportive.
That's my child...not a dog or a toy I can throw away when it's lost its charm.

What idiot would not support their children regardless? I don't get that at all.

Those are the kind of people who don't deserve to be parents at all.

I'd be supportive and love him/her the same as anyone else. Just because a person is gay it doesn't make them different. Instead they need more support and love because they are teased a lot. I think these people are the sweetest people ever, I have a lot of gay friends and at first they were afraid to tell me but I told them I already knew. I loved them the same, not all people are the same and just because some are different that doesn't make them any less than anyone else. In the end we are all human beings and we all have good heart or bad. People should be judged by personality and character, not by their sexual preferences.

Partly is because I am a homosexual, I will not say no to it. Perhaps think it this way, don't all parents in the world love their child and want them to be happy? Even if I am straight, I will still not say no to it. I will want them to be happy, not bring pain to themselves by hiding their true self in the closet. Pretending someone u are not is tiring and painful and is certainly something I will not want my child to be.

I can't stand parents who WOULDN'T be supportive of their child-mine definately weren't. WHY in the world would people disown their child over something like this..?

I would take the opposite reaction my parents did, I would definately support them. Hey, at least they probably won't be contributing to the overpopulation and might even adopt.

I would like to think that something like that wouldn't matter to me, I mean I'm sure that I would love my children no matter what, but I don't think that I could answer honestly without having ever really been placed in that spot. People always assume they know how they are going to respond, some time you do know, but sometimes...things throw you off. I certainly don't think that I would mistreat my children, but I may be a little shocked, and hurt at first. I think that I would learn to accpet it eventually.

I would be very supportive. A child cannot choose who or how he was born. The child is still my blood family, and I would behind him or her 1000%

As long as they are happy and safe, I would treat them like children should be, loved, and taken care of by parents, and never give up on them, and support them, even if you think they are wrong, be there to help pick up the pieces.

Full support, it will make their life easier knowing they have a support group that loves them. And that is what family is suppose to be about.

If it was a complete surprise, I would probably be shocked for a little while. But your child is your child and you will always love them for who they are. Most the time there are some signs, so it wouldn't be a complete surprise. I would want the best for my children, and being happy is essential to that.

I would be supportive and concerned. Definately would not kick them out of the house or "disown" them. If my child came out it might be even more important to show them unconditional love.
