i think of the low approval rankings of Congress and the President merely teach that the popular public is disappointed with Washington all at the same time. countless Republicans want to declare, properly Bush might desire to be extra prevalent because of the fact Congress has a decrease score. i do no longer think of it is precise. right here is something to maintain in attitude. After 9/11, President Bush's approval score shot as much as ninety 5%. Congress peaked at fifty 9%. human beings in no way like the belief of Washington politicians, that's merely the image that "Congress" creates in peoples' minds, whether situations are stable or undesirable, all human beings is quite often cynical on the subject of the belief of Washington politicians. Its a lot much less complicated to have faith in somebody than the belief of a team of politicians, so because it is why the Presidents' approval score is oftentimes greater, whoever that's.

why would their be "silence" ?
1st. when I bring up the low numbers for bush I have some understanding as to why his numbers are low.
The Democrats Loath him and Republicans are starting to abandon him.
as for Congress, that's an other matter, is it not ?
Do you know why so many Dem's are giving low approval ratings to the people they elected ?
It's because many wanted them to work harder to end the war in Iraq and to stand up to the Republicans better than they have.
So.. You have low numbers because 1/2 of the country (the conservatives) don't like them and because
The liberals want them to fight bush harder than they have.
You understand that no party is going to have better than a 50% approval rating in a country so divided, right ?
Maybe the Democrats on this site don't want to tell you why they are so un-happy with the Dem's in the house.

No silence Dems know they aren't knocking the Republican stronghold out fast enough. Its too narrow a margin when the President has finally found his veto pen.
Both parties will pay come election time, but all you have to do is see how much lighter the prowar side of the aisle is to understand its going to be a long time before conservative republicans are going to be in power again.
A two thirds majority is needed in both houses to override a veto. The Democrats do not have this many votes.

well, congress approval ratings is tightly linked to Bush's. This is a present who is threatening vetoing everything under the sign, including how How Paris Hilton should be treated. What do you expect a congress under this president to survive. They're more frustrated than any congress that ever existed, except perhaps the one under Idi Ami

i don't see much funny about any of this anymore - but right wing humor has never quite cut it with me.
what cons who like to talk about this forget is that repubs make up almost 50% of the congress and america is fully aware of their repeated filibusters.
i remember how the cons whined and threatened, and stomped their feet when the dems filibuster - but they do it now over and over again.
that low approval rating is more about obstructionist republicans than anything else.
