Ok, on a website where you can have an avatar, sometimes I see a moving picture. It's just like a 2-3 second long clip that repeats over and over. How do you get these off the internet?

Those are a special format of "gif" images. They are created by taking several pictures and cycling them just like the frames of a movie.

If you do a search for "animated gifs" you will find several sites that offer them.

You can also do a search for "animated gif editor" and find several free programs for creating your own. but be warned that creating one takes a lot of patience and time. You may have to draw a couple hundred frames for a couple of seconds of animation.

Some internet browsers will let you do this....have a look at Firefox from the Mozilla corporation or a browser called 'Opera'.

Scan your computer with this and see if that does the trick. You may come across some more surprises while you are at it.

go to www.whateverlife.com-- Then click on the link for layouts then look to the right of your screen and go all the way down. There is something there that shows how to tweak your photos.

If you can't find it there, try www.freecodesource.com and/or www.mywackospace.com
