When moving, is there an up front fee to get all utilities turned on(gas, electric, water) ? Or will that be included in the first month bills? Thanks so much!

Each utility company has it's own rules. Some will make you pay a deposit before turning the utility on. Others will go ahead and turn the utility on while spreading the deposit out for up to three months. You will just have to call each one and find out. Would recommend doing that before actually moving in so you will know how much everything will be.

It depends on the company and your credit. I live in CA. Most of the utilities here require a deposit (between $300-1500) to set up an account if you have no or low credit. None that I know of require a deposit just to start up but I bet they're out there. They would be added to your first bill. Most are refundable after a certain period of time (usually 12-18 months) if you pay your bill on time. Well, good luck!

All depends on the company. Usually an activation fee will be applied to the first bill. Also depends on your credit history. If you have no credit or bad credit than more than likely you will need to put a deposit down or have a credit card on file.

Depends on the particular company you are dealing with. Varies from town to town.
