It's about escaping the mechanisms of modern life and getting back to nature. Getting high off of nature.

I just think it means to get away from everything, all the crap and just being alone. I also think there is a subtle drug reference as well, "Up here so high the sky I scrape". That's my interpretation anyway, but these things are always open.
