I'm on a birth control pill called micranor (sp?) to regulate my period. I'm wondering if there are certain medications that I'm not supposed to take. (like pain relievers for cramps). It seems like my doctor stated I couldn't take something, but I don't remember what. I'm not due back until November. Thanks in advance.

Certain antibiotics can negate the birth control effects of birth control pills. However if you are concerned about other drug interactions, your best bet is to check with your pharmacist or read the product insert. Even though I am a doctor, I rely heavily on the pharmacists to help keep patients out of trouble with drug interactions.

When you've got been conscious of the fact that the remedy might have reduced the efficacy of the BC pills, you'll have supplied a backup form of opening manipulate (ie: condoms). Happily, the meds don;t render the medications useless, so i would start making use of a condom now, and that i do not think that probabilities are immoderate abundant to assert that it is apparently you could get pregnant.

Antibiotics reduce the effect of the pill in preventing pregnancy..

You could always CALL and ask.

You can take Midol or Pamprin, hopefully the pills will alleviate those cramps.
